Blaaxa! Now Why Blaaxa? Well I don't see a very good use for him if he isn't brainwashed. So lets brainwash him *makes weird noises* There we go! So look at that ability... What is a Generic Mugic you ALL hate being played on you and that 95% of decks use? Cadence Clash? Thought so. Has it clicked yet? No? Well Brainwashed creatures can only play Generic mugic so if any of your creatures have mugic counters they could play it AFTER you negate your opponents Cadence Clash, with one of you copies by simply revealing it to them. I think that is a pretty sweet idea, eh?
Dude. First off I want to say welcome back. Secondly Nice choice; this creature has massive disruptive abilities. It should also be noted that you don't only need to put in generic mugic into your hand in brainwashed decks. Its is not a requirement of a legal deck for all mugic to be played. It actually doesn't mater if it can be played at all... Practical uses you ponder? here are a few with Blaaxa.
ReplyDeleteIf your going up against OWers, you can throw in a Rhyme of the Reckless into your mugic hand, or an OW refrain of denial... The beauty is that mugic doesn't have to be played to take advantage of this creature. She is Super annoying in chieftain decks that do not rely on the casting of mugic. Also if your planning on encountering say a UW build, throw a cannon in and BAM! no more cannon burn. Put in one of those annoying fanfair of the vanishings... its such a useful creature!
If only her brainwashed was her regular :(

Now THIS Idea is truly epic..I haven't even thought of this before! Imagine if Blaaxa was a Danian: Have a Lore HM, twice the fun!
And this could also work with Najarin FF, with Blaaxa Deep Dirge'd, and a Monophone Mayhem :D.
But this Idea of having 2 Cadence Clashes in your hand to prevent 2 opposing Clashes is one of your best Ideas yet ;).
I was lookin through the collection and thought this to.XD I WAS goin to keep it secret but the secret is out. :( I knew someone else would find out eventually.

I cant believe that nobody mentioned putting these mugis in: Psionic Serenade and Nourishing Nocturne! Blaxxa is a great way to negate them.

ReplyDeleteFalconer1, Psionic is still used and I suppose you could use these in your deck and have blaaxa there to reveal if need be, though, Psionic and Nocturune are seeing less and less action

ReplyDeleteblaaxa's ability is ok. but since u can't always predict the opposing mugic cards, i mean theres a lot of mugic cards, and they arent all generic. so since her ability is most likely not always gonna work, and her stats are horrifying, i would rule her out. i mean im sure theres other cards that have better abilities and could easily replace her.
ReplyDeletePS, dont even try to put her in the back to protect her, cause a lot of people have swift and range these days, and that makes ur cheiftan have to move up too, and thats bad too cause most cheiftans need that protection.
I would honestly give her a bronzeflight and if I feel she will be useless she can go and defend a cheiftan!

ReplyDeleteWell we are (theoretically) revealing out Cadence Clash to negate their Cadence Clash, or Refrain of Denial to their Refrain of denial, etc.
